I boosted from 1k karma to 20k by searching 'pun' on every top joke each day for a week.

It's enough that good/bad posts get boosted up/down by votes without them generating Karma.

Intelligent answers aren't always the most popular...

Woteva. You litterally sound like an auld man 🀣 I disagree with this...

I do find slightly more mature content over here (though not so much of 'watchitfortheplot')...

Mostly it's just stupid people, lazy people, ignorant people.

There are some here, but it's certainly less than the 95% hit rate of RedTit.

It's annoying - I saw someone using ' (intext:"modlog" & "instances" & "docs" & "code" & "join lemmy" | intext:"powered by kbin")' which works if you put it after your search term in Google, or Whoogle.

For another engine, just appending 'lemmy' helps...

How many of the millions of people doing searches will add Lemmy specifically? This only works if you wish to specifically search Lemmy, for which I'd suggest adding (intext:"modlog" & "instances" & "docs" & "code" & "join lemmy" | intext:"powered by kbin") to a Whoogle search would do better.

I searched "3 days no poop meme" and I saw 2 from Reddit on the first page (via qwant),

No Lemmy.

You state simply: Lemmy.ml is just a part of Lemmy.

However, the title states: Lemmy.ml is not Lemmy

FYI also, not many people understand PSA.

But Electric Cars ARE cars!!!

Then I'd propose 'Lemmy.ml is ONE OF A NUMBER of instances running on the Lemmy platform'.

As I said, statements are not confusing to people who understand them - but they are confusing for outsiders.

If you wish to find stupid questions, then you should basically scroll down to find one.

Is there a well established definition for this?

I find that questions answered with the first few results of a simple search (and thus by extension also by simply scrolling down a page listing questions) would certainly fit this criteria.

And so, for sure, I can state that this is one of those Stupid Questions which you ~~seek~~ are asking US to find for YOU.

It is made more stupid by the fact that you assume that what's mildly interesting to a person of your intellect would not appear stupid and childish to someone of more average, or above average intelligence.

I hope this answers your question.

A close second might be this one:

Actually, it's more interesting to look at how a 'stupid question' should be answered... as I frequently encounter from people who join forums and ask questions without having any knowledge.

No, they're just different.

I like hot showers before bed, they relax me - also if I have any health issues (recently a torn rotator cuff) then I found a very hot shower helped quite a lot with that (actually very hot, followed by a blast of cool, then hot again).

Hot showers also help if I get a cold, or stuffy nose.

However, for cooling down, waking up, getting energy - then cool showers are better.

Well if you take out the batteries, probably you could - but I think it's best to just strip it down and I washed mine in the bathroom sink with a bit of detergent (dish soap), then dry it before re-assembling it (I did this with my ancient Logitech K270 keyboard a few times).

The main issue with spills is that they dry sticky, and then the keys will get sticky - so you need to dump out the keys and wash them. On my keyboard, they just pop out and clip straight back in again.
