No, karma turned Reddit into a hive mind. Everyone knew what everyone expected in each community and would push people to stay in line in order to not get downvoted.

That's also part of my issue so far, but even if I look at an equivalent of a sub I enjoy, there are so few people on there and a couple posts tops. I just need to give it some time for more people to come over!

Yes for sure if it gets more usage. I love the concept of Lemmy, but for now it's just a bit too quiet.

The submarine going missing was a multi day tragedy where it was a race against time. In the end, we found out the people had died immediately, but nobody knew that originally. Had we all known that the submarine had imploded immediately, it would also have been a non story.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra and love it.

I usually upgrade my phone each year, but am trying to stop that, so hopefully I can keep this for a few years.

I used to use all Apple products, but haven't in a few years. Now I use Linux for my computer, Android for my phone and tablet.
