Their recommendation algorithm doesn’t care what you watch, it cares what other people who watch the same streamers as you watch. So if I watch a lot of shroud, I notice more titty streamers popping up in my recommendations because shroud viewers are more likely to watch titty streams.

More than anything it’s annoying. I come to twitch for gaming content. I really don’t appreciate my recommended tab needing to be censored. It’s not taking away viewers, but it is making the experience on the platform worse for many.

I much prefer to watch gameplay on twitch. It’s a much more natural way of consuming content vs the super energetic, loud, pushy YouTube videos.

Edited game content provides very little entertainment value to me, while I mostly have streams turned on as background noise and check in occasionally to see what happens.

AI does not learn and transform something like a human does. I have no problem with human artists taking inspiration, I do have a problem with art being reduced to a soulless generation that requires stealing real artists work to create something that isn’t original.

The “AI hate train” is people who dislike being replaced by machines, forcing us further into the capitalist machine rather than enabling anyone to have a better life

Considering most models can spit out training data, that’s not a true statement. Training data may not be explicitly saved, but it can be retrieved from these models.

Existing copyright law can’t be applied here because it doesn’t cover something like this.

It 100% should be a copyright infringement for every image generated using the stolen work of others.

It’s not learning

That’s just one of the dumbest things I’ve heard.

Naming has nothing to do with how the tech actually works. Ignorance isn’t an excuse. Neither is stupidity

100% my biggest issue with modern games right now is there’s too much damn lore. I need to know a hundred different things to understand the game, and I generally don’t know those things.

I’m a huge fan of Doom Eternal, and it’s one of the few single player games I’ve finished in the last few years. Too many games now end up needing to spend half my play session in conversations or cut scenes, and I realized I don’t have fun playing games like that.

Is it a MBP M1? The ones they’ve been handing out at my office are tanks compared to the pre-2017 (modern) MacBooks.

I think that’s also just part of how laptops are made now. How Thin/Light a laptop is can be a major selling point

I use my phone for web browsing and a barely anything more. An iPhone is practical for my use case, if a little expensive. Personally I really dislike the android interface, and that’s enough for me.

That’s it. If other viewers of streamers you watch are watching those streams, it’ll push them to you
