Patrick Teahan has helped me a lot I watch his YouTube videos I was raised by immature adults and when I recognized my trauma I was told “but those are your parents” and shamed into keeping toxic people in my life. I’m in my 40’s, my dad is dead and I’ve gone almost full NC with my Mom. It’s lonely sometimes but it’s better than being neglected, abused and invisible!!

(Patrick Teahan is a Licensed childhood trauma specialist, fellow survivor, author, educator, and advocate for the Relationship Recovery Process. I teach childhood trauma survivors to love, heal, and find themselves.)

As a 41yr old childhood trauma survivor myself I have found a lot of help thru a specialist that is a survivor themselves, I’m not trying to promote them unless you’re interested but do know that you’re seen, valid and these moments will happen. Try to find your joy🫶🏻

From what I recall at the funeral home after my dad died, in the US you cannot be buried in this, it’s ONLY for a non-viewing cremation.

John Oliver offered him $1mil a year to retire and a brand new Winnebago yet upon the highest court he still reigns with that shifty ass smirk across his face

The article specifies that “researchers found that in 2022, 22.3 US women per 100,000 died either during pregnancy or within a year of giving birth” so I’m not really sure what the first response is on about “counts mortality differently” 🙄

American Northeast - Blizzard of 1996 It snowed for days! School was closed for a week. Then unseasonably warm weather melted the tons of snow and the river flooded. As if being 13 wasn’t difficult enough, that was quite a year

Please check out NORML.org

I’ve been a supporter for quite some time. They’re really trying to make a strong grassroots presence and bring change along with peer reviewed studies.

I love a good Knoebels name-drop

I had no idea! They also do virtual appointments so I thought the communication done on the app was for emergencies and the sort. Being a therapist is tough that’s why I never chose to work toward that aspect of my social science degree.

I am American and was going to recommend BetterHelp so searched if it expanded out of the US and there’s now UK chapters.

I signed up for the couples counseling sister site but haven’t started yet. Prices are quite reasonable and everything is virtual and secure.
