Microblogs are a very cool feature, but it's a shame that it is one button on the top of the page that looks similar to the other buttons that you'd mostly ignore it if you weren't actively looking for it

The devs should just make this a default built-in thing like in Reddit.
PWAs only work on Chromium web browsers, though there are some that install on Firefox on Mobile. Yes, I can jsut use Brave, but it's syncing is awful and I bet there are old accounts of mine floating with an expired passphrase. Granted, I now save my bookmarks, passwords etc. in various other places where I can access them from any device anywere.
It was already in a situation where a select few controlled a large amount of huge subreddits. It was bad already, now it's going to get even worse.
This explains things really well. Beehaw's goal is to be the tight-knit, invite only home for all kinds of people. It's not supposed to be a Reddit alternative, but a thing of its own. However, KBin and other instances aren't blocked yet from federating with them, and making a new instance is also an option, so it's not like all is lost. This is a reason why having more than one account helps.
I would prefer if you use the format of @[email protected]. I wish there was a way to do links like that universally
I personally would prefer to keep my comments and posts and just delete the account. That way others don't have to go to cached and archived versions of pages if a subreddit isn't privated to see the full context of a comment, and it's just better for overall preservation.
The second link for me when searching for Lemmy on Google is the link to the "Join Lemmy" website. Surprisingly, Brave Search, which has seemingly no search bubbles or accounts, shows the same.
Reddit was my primary social media page for over 2 years now.
Now that it's practically gone, finding good alternatives is hard.
I suggest you to go to lemmyverse.net to explore communities and instances.
What we need to grow our community is to advertise Lemmy/KBin to the world and the federation concept as a whole
You don't need more than two or three, it's all federated, so you can access most accounts and communities from all sites on any of these sites, which is one of my favorite things about this whole thing
