Check out immich, I use that self hosted and it's exactly like Google photos. It even has optional facial recognition.

This isn't about protecting the kids. It's about protecting the panel-goers from having to be around annoying kids.
You missed the opportunity to end that with -when I'm in them.
People have already engaged. There's nothing left to say to this other than I wholeheartedly disagree and this is a bigger deal than you're making it out to be.

You can say that as much as you want, but it won't stop the obesity epidemic. "Just put in the work" won't save millions from heart disease due to poor diet. Of course everyone could just start eating better. But clearly that hasn't and will not work, so anything that can be used to help people be healthier and save lives, should be.
