Hi I live in one of the Nordic country.you are right , if you want a serene, calm, without hiccups life , this is the place to be, excellent for spending your retirement years, and enjoy nature. BUT life here is long and boring, agreed you won't live like AMERICAN lifestyle here but as you said you just live, there is no excitement, the long dark winters even down in southern parts of countries are unbearable sometimes, there is less you can do, yesterday I saw restaurant about 49 minutes away from me , for specific radler beer at around 7 o clock and I knew I could go there because it was in other nearby city, I knew if I went now I won't be able to back at my home since buses/trains will stop. Lot of out people who come to work on Monday , take a flight and if they reach anything after 8pm , they stay in big city just because there is no train in midnight. It's manageable, silence is deafning , life pace is less than crawl and YOU need vitamin D from day 1.

100% true. I tried Linux , with multiple distris multiple times and it's always the same shit all over.
Absolutely not true, I used Linux this year and it was so much useless. I got my HDD autommounted to be accessed in file manager ONLY. when I try to set it up as a drive for my emby, IT WONT BE FOUND AT ALL, CAUSE EQCH FUCKING SOFTWARE NEEDS ITA OWN READ AND WRITE PERMISSION IN LINUX . it's the Linux that stuck in 1989 with use of terminal dominating for everything. I mean come on, nobody cares sudo shit and want to use that piss poor terminal for anything. To update the software I need to click and update it in Windows, but Linux oh update the entire library, then do sudo apt get .. What the hell man ?
No , you can't write it as you don't have it mounted. You did ? Well it's not accessible through specific programs (like may be Plex or unusable word like software that saves format file in format unknown to 90% of world) forget about it.
I am in between both platform's and honestly Reddit still is good source for me for almost anything, Lemmy users seems to be pretentious LINUX users who attacks me all the time when I say Linux is not useful, no variety of content ( of course that right I'll take time) but I can go through contet of Lemmy within half day at most bit reddit is vast. I do use only rdx so no ads for me, no replies from me. I totally agree with you on Lemmy that we need more communities and also simplification on how to access different federated worlds
Endast andra land har likasom vatten är tjeck. Men det har 4g socker i deras vatten och DWM har aven druvor smak. Jättegott.
Pandora has best radio functionality of all the stteqmong services till date, iniwws tp have Pandora when it was available globally and with radio functionality it was as if you are one who selected those songs. Ibtoed of coming back to USA , tried it with VPN. I have tried all the streaming services and nobody has best algo to choose songs like Pandora has YouTube is coming that way but it's still not as good as Pandora. I would have bought 0andora solely because of that but it seems that they will never be available out of USA :(
I love travel , I used to travel as child /teen/adult in buses trains etc and enjoy every bit of it. Mountains, valleys, trees roads etc.I had patience to enjoy cause I had no worry about destination. Views were changing and beautiful.
Now in travel a LOT due to work , so going to airport , check in, security and then same clouds or sun , same shitty services ,
Now we need to have have fun with you, family to enjoy the trip in flights atleast or when toubdont have to drive .
I am.looking for more people who does not haate you because you don't use Linux on Lemmy. Even the community where one can say Linux is not usable for everyday, till it stands on cruches of terminal to do anything and don't have to get multiple down votes
Hah not true in many many many cases
I use same solution as you having tried emby and sonarr etc. the biggest problem got my family and me was searching what to watch and adding it rrr services, we wanted to have netflix but quite instant, not just to watch ( as you might have to wait a while be at 5 or 10 mins on torrent) but also browse, there is so much to watch what should I download, so streamio helped me there, now how to get there media, well debrid services gave us instant access, so it was quite a easy solution.
