The great thing about Reddit is that a lot of people are there.

The worst thing about Reddit is that a lot of people are there.

I don’t think the fediverse is ever going to be massive, but that’s okay! Smaller communities usually lead to better interactions. I’ve only been here a day, but the thing that jumps out at me is this place doesn’t seem hostile.

Early days on social services have always been my favorite. In a weird way, I’m glad Reddit led me here.

Not sure I agree. The only alternative that we have that does what I want it to do is to mod No Mercy, which is generally a hassle and too much of an ask for most people. I think the game is lacking a bit, but the actual gameplay does exactly what I want it to do. It’s much better than the 2K games, for what I’m looking for.

What games do you like?

Idk if this is possible, but the biggest thing about Apollo, for me, was being able to tune it to my eyesight.

When I use system font, it doesn’t actually boost up the font size to what’s on my phone. When I use the manual slider, it is SO much better, but words in titles and descriptions can get jumbled into themselves and become unreadable. For example, when I search communities, the number of members, community title, and instance they are on all run into each other. It’s made it so I have to use Wefwef when searching for communities, then I can view them on Memmy. If there’s any way to fix this, I would really appreciate it. Regardless, thank you for your efforts!

Another Apollo refugee here. Wefwef and Memmy (haven’t settled on one yet) both have me feeling a bit at home. I hope Christian does an Apollo for Lemmy, but if not, these are great options.

Not thrilled with those results. Should've been Knight. But the women's MITB winner kicks ass!

Absolutely love the game. I'm not a "creator" though. I'm someone who is very happy to just do a bunch of exhibition matches like in the old days. I hope they add more for the people who want it, and of course, I'd be happy to have my options expanded, but all I wanted was an N64 like experience, and they delivered that to me in spades.

Outside of big WWE shows (Rumble, WM, etc), I almost exclusively watch AEW. I don't hate WWE or anything, AEW just caters to my tastes more. I watch the occasional NJPW show, and I go to DEFY in Seattle on a monthly basis.

Haha I just found it, but thank you anyway! It definitely helps! I'm not sure what I prefer right now, but I think Wefwef is edging out Memmy for me, at the moment.

It’s very Apollo-like. It’s working well for me, but I’m still a little confused about finding communities, and I wish the place was a bit more active in general. But so far, I like it!

Thank you for the recommendation! It is very similar. I’m digging Memmy right now but this may be more up my alley!

I like it, but I need a native app. My eyesight is poor. Apollo and Memmy let me set text size. I have to zoom in too far to Wefwef to the point where the gestures fuck up when I scroll back and forth.

It’s a great setup though for someone without my limitations.

Edit: I’m a dumbass and didn’t realize there were settings to change text size! Lol. Well now I will have to compare this to my Memmy experience and see what I like more. Thanks for the recommendation.

I will also remember Apollo! I am so pissed that that wonderful app is gone.

Forced me to try something new, at least. Trying to navigate the fediverse on Memmy right now.

RIP Apollo. You were wonderful.
