Something tells me they’ll investigate themselves and find no wrongdoing.

Every day I become more and more glad I chose to stay north for grad school. My condolences to those who are there and trying to get out :(

Hey, every single planet with life that we know of has oxygen in the atmosphere!

Sample size of one though.

If this is the case it would be an… interesting thought process. You can’t sit there and claim you’ve discovered something absolutely ground breaking and game changing in the field and then think that no one is going to try and replicate that.

Well maybe if they had picked themselves up by the bootstraps, saved more of their income, stopped buying chai lattes and avocado toast every day for lunch, and ~~had daddy give them a million dollars~~ worked really hard to earn their cash, they could have bought their freedom.

Under federal law, you can work 2 full time jobs, 80 hours a week, and still not make $120/day ($120 = 8 hrs x $15/hr). $15/hr isn't insane, it's not even bare minimum anymore.

All of them have one, none of them would go for it because they don’t think he did anything wrong

Black to play and win! (1644 ChessTempo)

#chess

If you play 1... e5, you've run into the King's Gambit at some point. And if you're anything like me, the positions make absolutely no sense once you get about 5 moves in. So let's talk about it. What defense do you play against the King's Gambit? What are the main ideas for black? How do you survive when White is throwing everything they have at you? What resources have you used to learn more about the black side of this opening?

I guess the three biggest websites for puzzles are chess.com, lichess, and chesstempo. Which do you prefer? For me overall, it's chesstempo > lichess > chess.com, though I would say chess.com's puzzle quality is a little better than lichess. Chesstempo lets me do an unlimited number of high-quality puzzles, Lichess lets me do an unlimited number of questionable quality puzzles, and chess.com limits me to 5 puzzles a day. My biggest issue with Lichess is that the puzzles are taken from random people's games, so I'll get some absolutely ridiculous position that you could never reach if you weren't trying to reach it, and then the answer will be a quiet move that doesn't seem to do anything but if the opponent doesn't find the only defending move, it's mate in 13.
