I noticed this shortly before exiting Reddit. Thought it was just a glitch that a bunch of my chats were missing. Most of them were “thanks for the gold/award!” type messages, so it kind of goes right along with the stupid decision that to kill coins/awards.

It seems when the rest of the world would rather you (as in, Elon) fucked off, you just buy your own social media, with ~~blackjack and hookers~~ rapists and human traffickers!

The platform is paying high-profile creators, including Andrew Tate, thousands of dollars for posting to the app.

Well, as if I needed any more reason never to go back to that hellsite. Gross.

I hope I live long enough to see this "Election Denialism" bullshit go away. And by go away, I hope that someday we figure out a way to marginalize this whole denialism of reality trend so that it is nothing but a fringe idea that can safely be ignored (though we would also hopefully stay vigilant in case this kind of thing were to happen again).

I was what I think we would now call a "weeb" in my junior/senior year of high school, and had studied Japanese culture before making a short trip over there in the summer. One of the things I learned was that blowing your nose in public is seen as bad manners, and it really stuck with me. When you think about it, it is pretty gross to loudly blow snot into a tissue (bonus points for carrying a handkerchief!) in front of others, like (as an American) we'll just do this at the dinner table without batting an eye.

To this day, I try not to blow my nose in public places or in front of folks if I can avoid it, because it has grossed me out ever since learning how Japanese culture perceives it.

“We never envisioned, and would not knowingly have enabled, the disinformation machine that, in our opinion, Fox has become,” the [group of men who helped establish Fox News] wrote.

What in the wild blue FUCK did you think was going to happen, then? Did it really seem like an honest effort back when it was launched?
