I had problems uploading pictures to lemmy.world communities earlier this week. I wonder what's going on.

It's available online at the internet archive if you want to see it before you buy it. It's a beautiful, visually inventive movie. The story is heavy handed propaganda which I don't mind personally.

I haven't seen the other movie by the same director, The Cranes Are Flying, except for a clip of the famous long shot shared on Reddit.

Arrow's The Warriors release for me. I also bought some Radiance box sets, Franco Nero and Dino Risi.

I didn't know they released Nightmare Alley. That pairs nicely with Freaks for a Carny double feature.

Mel Brooks' style of humor can definitely get corny sometimes. Spaceballs is better depending on how much of a Star Wars fan you are. I think Young Frankenstein and Blazing Saddles gets the humor mixture better.

Super Mario Bros 4k, Audition by Takashi Mike, Phantom of the Opera, and Noble House.

I might pickup Audition again after losing my Dvd copy.

I finally received The Fight Back to School boxset last week. I preordered it back in mid-August with Lady Reporter. I also picked up the Wicker Man box, Touch of Evil, and Magic Cop.

Magic Cop is a blast. The ending has great non-stop action and time melts away.

I don't know if I would recommend the Wicker Man boxset. I'm mostly disappointed that the source material for two cuts of the film are in bad shape. The box itself is kind of meh and expensive. The movie is perfect folk horror.

Lady Reporter is okay. The story is a bit of a mess, but action set pieces were fun.
