Got Terraforming Mars: Ares Expedition and Brew this month. Played both of them 3P with my family and had a good time. I also helped my kid run a game of Cuphead: Fast Rolling Dice Game with his friends and they had a blast.

How is that Cuphead game? It’s always piqued my interest when I’ve seen it.

I recently got the Crisis expansion for TM: Ares Expediton and it’s a fun way to play that game co-op or solo!

It's very frantic since you need to roll dice repeatedly to defeat the bosses, and it was very fun watching a group of pre-teens scrambling to get the required rolls within the time limit.

Though I would only recommend it if you're a fan of the franchise since it can get repetitive after a number of replays as the gameplay for each boss doesn't have that many variations.

Didn't spend that much time with board games in June, wife and I have been on a Civ VI kick of late. We did manage to complete an Exit game, the Secret Lab, which was quite different from the Enchanted Forest one (and slightly less frustrating, maybe because we were a bit more familiar with how it works).

We did get a few rounds of Lost Cities in, it's a simple game that's really fun.

Got a couple of new games from Amazon's pre-Prime Day sale, hoping to try them out this month. Also have 7 Wonders Duel on the list, it's still in the shrink wrap. xD

Visited my friends this weekend and had free plays of Nehemiah, Glenmore and Kahuna. Played Glenmore for the first time and I need to say it was great. Looking for 2nd edition now.

It was a light month of gaming for me, but I'm hoping to pick things up again soon. (Ask me again in a month how that went. 😄)

I did get a handful of Button Shy games played this month, though. Revolver Noir was a lot of fun. I think it'll be a great one to include in any future travel. Mint Julep was also really interesting. A fun, quick little racing/betting game.

As for others, That Time You Killed Me is an impressive design. I'm not particularly good at abstracts (and let's be clear: I wasn't too good at this one either), but the design and decision space were super interesting. I'm looking forward to playing this one again soon.

I enjoyed it! 😄

We only played it once, so I can't judge how it'd stand up over time (…although I do have some expansion characters that'd add variety if we needed it). But I thought it was a clever system. The actions are simple enough that turns aren't super complicated to parse. But you can still pull together some nice combinations now and again that leave you feeling clever. And it's quick, so it's easy to get in an extra game or two if you're up for it.

June was actually a bit of a slower month of board games for me and I was pretty busy overall. Lots more short games this past month.

The Bloodborne game by CMON was new to me and I really enjoy its efficiency puzzle. I also enjoyed starting to figure out Tiny Epic Vikings which I've been enjoying primarily solo, though it did take a bit to figure out its solo mode and the general strategies as it can feel pretty unfair at times, even if it isn't. I also began to revisit some of my PnP games, starting with Voyages & Aquamarine by Button Shy Games; those are both great and my kids really enjoy playing them with me.

Looking forward to more Bloodborne this month and finishing up my AH:LCG campaign with a friend. I'd like to play my Lacerda games a bit more -- Kanban EV and Weather Machine -- as well before a few outstanding Kickstarters start showing up at my door.

Hey, that's a neat graphic, what did you use to make it?

if you want it free and aren't afraid of some elbow grease, you could try something like canva as it's pretty simple to use
