The transformation looks really cool and the mecha(?) (or kaiju?) designs look rad (I rewatched from the transformation in the trailer to the end more than a few times...).
Looks like a solid staff. Haven't watched anything the director Motonobu Hori is credited for (Super Crooks and Carol and Tuesday which is on my PTW) but Yutaka Izubuchi is credited as producer and series composition...er and looks like he mostly has a bunch of mechanical and character design credits for things like the Patlabor movies and a lot of Gundam (including Char's Counterattack, War in the Pocket, Gundam Wing) but he's also directed the Uchuu Senkan Yamato 2199 reboot (which is quite good).
