Usually used reddit on rising sort, not an option here. But new is like reddit new, so much garbage like my post here. But how do you not miss out on everything?

FYI if your instance has upgraded to 0.18.1 you should try out hot and active again. They seem to be working much better so far.

Hot is half decent, top hour is pretty good but lacking from most mobile clients.

I recommend searching for the subs you had on Reddit and subscribe to whatever has the most people per name. Videos for example.

I’m a new Lemmy user and for me, it took using Memmy to make it more useable. The web app just felt clunky and kept refreshing. I know there are other apps you can use as well. I sort by All when I’m looking for new communities and Subscribed when I just want to see the communities I want. Good luck.
