This seems like a good platform. How do I find communities to subscribe to? I've got maybe fifteen showing up as default, but don't know how to dig deeper.

My method was just sorting all new. When I saw stuff that interested me I subbed. Now I usually scroll my subscribed list, but I pop back into all every couple days to see what's popping up. Like this post for example =)

Edit: I also blocked stuff as well to make the all + new experience better over time.

if you're on browser you can find this instance (Lemmy.World) local communities https://lemmy.world/communities if you want more from the other instances like Kbin or other Lemmy servers (like Lemmy.ml or Lemmy.ca), just sort by All, which will show you all post from the fediverse.

at least that's how I begin discovering stuffs.

if you click on the communities there's a local tab and an all tab, the all tab has communities from other lemmy instances that you can view and interact with from here!

Are you using an app or the browser to access lemmy?

I was on app, and couldn't figure much out. Jumped on via desktop, and I see the huge menu of communities.

Thank you.
