Looking to make a deck with ratadabrik of urborg as the commander. What are y'alls favorite b/w legendaries that have good etb/passive effects? Looking for interesting suggestions rather than just the most powerful

God-Eternal Bontu is the hero that deck needs. He'll refill your hand, combo with Ratadabrik to trigger as many other legendaries as you want, do it again when he dies, and set you up to do the whole thing again again in three turns, right when you're running out of cards.

Loran, Disciple of History would do very well if you had an artifact subtheme, but that might be stretching yourself too thin.

Ayara, First of Locthwain seems like a stellar choice, because she both triggers and enables for everyone else.

Torgaar, Famine Incarnate might be an acceptable sac outlet on cast, and he and Ratadabrik's token copy can double-up to take out one opponent. Nothing to sneeze at if you're getting that extra value out of his cast anyway.

Torgaar won't actually kill an opponent since it only makes the opponent's life total half their starting life total. I was so excited to build him as a command when he came out and that one word ruined it for me

Ah, you're right. I misread it. Still, knocking two opponents down 20 points each isn't terrible.

Here's a Scryfall Search with all WB legendaries starting from lowest mana cost.

But just sifting through Wernog Riders Chaplain, Elas il-kor Sadistic Pilgrim and Kambal Consul of Aollocation seem like they would be a pain to deal with. Gonna give a shout out to Livio, Oathsworn Sentinel because when he exiles a creature with an aegis counter the token can be tapped to bring everything back.

Mondrak, Glory Dominus is a huge bomb in that deck, as you can imagine.

Teysa Karlov is good because it'll give all your copies Vigilance and Lifelink (well Ratadrabik already gives them Vigilance, but redundancy doesn't hurt, opponents will want to kill Ratadrabik constantly), and she's especially good if you lean into Legendaries with death triggers.

Liesa, Forgotten Archangel is a good way to get your Legendaries back so you can have two, unless you plan to use mass reanimation to get them back that way. Teshar, Ancestor's Apostle is free reanimation for cheap Legends.

Skrelv is fun. I really like Skrelv for easy protection against kill spells on your other creatures.

Michaeus the unhallowed is a fun (albeit expensive) card that could serve as a backup to save your creatures. Luminous broodmoth similarly will bring back all creatures that die and did not have flying, with an additional flying counter.

I have a Ratadabrik deck and I think it’s a lot of fun to play. Just make sure you have a bunch of infinitokens on hand!
