Tim Britton on the O's: With the third-best record in baseball, the question is just how aggressive Baltimore will be in buying at the deadline. Mike Elias’ track record points to some caution. Last summer, with his team surprisingly on the cusp of the wild-card race, Elias still acted as a strategic seller — a move that’s paid some dividends for this iteration of the Orioles. Over the winter, after suggesting he’d be a big spender, he instead opted for smaller moves. Until he behaves differently, that will remain the expectation.
