I'm really curious about what's happening on Reddit during this user blackout, did r/spez made other bullshits?

If you really wants to know, all the blackouts have minimal effect.

There are still a lot of engagements on Reddit, despite some subs going dark.

Reddit can only lose if primary content creators and mods move away from the platform which isn't happening as of now.

I had a look at r/all today just to see and it's sad so many people are still posting away. Hopefully this is the beginning of a bleed of users to other options.

The blackout should go on then

Oh, the old place? Heard it's running full steam ahead and that /r/conservative was going to take over the place.

So, the usual, apparently.

I already found my first ever overtly transphobic post on there yesterday. Just in plain view among a bunch of memes, it's not like I sought it out or went looking for disreputable subs.

It had been heavily upvoted.

First time I got that real feeling of "Reddit probably isn't for me any more".

You're right. This is not the Reddit that I remember.

They announced that the API will be free for mod tools.

So they're starting to buckle.

Wouldn't [email protected] be a better place to ask this? It's not got anything to do with Lemmy directly
