This is so sad.
Apollo - A beautiful app built for power and speed.
Since many of us are trying to avoid giving reddit any traffic, this space can be used to discuss Apollo, our dreams of seeing it join the Fediverse, and to give our appreciation to @[email protected] for his incredible work.
I knew it was coming but it still hit me hard. Apollo was so great. Mlem seems to be attempting to be a carbon copy of it so far though, and it’s doing a passable job for sure. I hope Reddit burns
wefwef and Memmy are amazing already.
So sad. When it came to UX I think Apollo was unbeatable. It’s unfortunate that Christian won’t carry the torch over to Lemmy but I understand it’s not economically viable for him. Thankfully wefwef exists.
Unfortunately, we won't be able to use this app again. This is very sad :( @jackolantern (sorry i don't know how to reply i literally created an acc minutes ago)
Apollo will stay installed on my phone. Thanks for all the hard work that was put into it.
Fuck you Reddit and /u/spez
Make sure to decline your refund though or it will go out of Christian's pocket.
I’ll miss this app dearly man. First alien blue now this
Reddit getting worse and worse every year
Fuck Reddit, happy to be here though :)
RIP!
Fuck spez, that greedy little pig boy.
So much of my time spent on my phone was on Apollo. Hoping this can become a replacement as content builds and maybe Apollo will integrate.
Fuck Reddit, happy to be here though :)
Apollo is still working for me. But I using my own API code on 1.15.11. Would post that in reddit but then reddit would pull my API code. Don't go on there much anymore but it's nice to be able to pulled up saved post and search for specific things.
I really do feel like I’m in a period of mourning, for an app of all things. Trying the official Reddit client and Narwhal and seeing how unintuitive those apps are, and how many features they’re missing in comparison to Apollo also just shows me how good we all had it. So long Apollo, you’ll be missed :(
I refuse to uninstall Apollo
