Was listening to podcast and got two ads that has buttons to download the advertised app(with gambling related disclaimer) as well as in-app pop ups.

I think it’s time to use my Apple Music included in family sub that I’m already paying for.

I'll quickly echo the sentiment on HN: Spotify has always done this for podcasts. This isn't new.

I think these ads are from the pod itself, I assume it's harder to get by otherwise. Should payment be per-hours-listened?

Podcasts can't embed skippable ads with download links, that's Spotify. Even if it's Spotify podcasts, Spotify is choosing to show ads to premium users.
