Seriously, these past few days have been bad enough as someone without breathing issues. I feel terrible for anyone that has any issues breathing.

Climate change is here for all of us. As an ex Iowan (now west coaster) who has dealt with fires now for a few years, the obvious limit exposure out side, stay in air conditioning if you can, and even with air conditioning, a taped furnace filter to a box fan can do a lot to filter out ash.

If you're having ashfalls, try to keep cars covered, the ash can oxidize the paint, and if you do get ash on it make sure to wash it soon. Don't wipe ash off as it's coarse and will scratch your paint.

As someone with asthma it is hasnt been bad for me. Then again i have oy been outside to drive to store then home, so maybe 30 minutes max. I have not spent any other time outdoors and I am craving a good hike or just sitting outside.

I have a pretty healthy respiratory system, but my wife and I went out to play Pokemon Go on..Tuesday I think. Air quality index tickling 190ish. When we woke up the next day, one of the first things we asked each other was "do you have this like...gritty, slightly phlegm-my cough too"?
So grateful for the rain though. The lawn was starting to look more like a sea of french fries than grass
