Zeekr , Volvo & Polestar are all subsidies of Geely. Many of their cars share the same platform. For example the Volvo em90 is a badge-engineered ZEEKR 009.
It does. Didn't Opel/Vauxhall use different brands in different markets? Can't they do something like that? Have the original brand im China and pay some marketing firm to invent a decent name for western markets?
How does "Build Your Dreams" not appeal to westerners? That sound so incredibly western.
The Chinese own MG now. They can just use western defunct brands at a low cost. But as this is an event in China they will be using the Chinese market names.
