Superconducting material can become pinned in place above a neodymium magnet. When those magnets are arranged in a track, the superconductor can follow that track even if it has loops and corkscrews.

Hi, /m/brainfood! I'm Hitstun from /m/FloatingIsFun where we're easily distracted by things that float in the air. My brain's happy when my focus gets to wander around in three dimensions. I thought you'd like some flux pinning, so I posted it here too. We get a lot of fantasy illustrations, but the rare real-life examples of floating are very much appreciated.
