[Official] Van de Ven and Maddison out until New Year

"Speaking to SPURSPLAY on Friday afternoon, our Head Coach has confirmed that Micky van de Ven, who picked up a hamstring injury in Monday's defeat to Chelsea, is expected to be out of action until the New Year while he also confirmed that James Maddison, who was forced off with an ankle injury against the Blues, is also expected to be sidelined until 2024."

@hallenbeck

I had a feeling this was coming. Just didn't expect all the bad news to come from one match.

I haven't looked at the numbers but my impression is that our players were more prone to injury when Poch was in charge than when Mourinho or Conte were. High-pressing, fast football really takes its toll. You can go a whole season without getting a knock or a tear when you play without the ball, employ a low block, park the bus, and be as negative and boring as you can.

@misterprickles

All that standing around for VAR doesn't help either.
