Oh no, diversity! The absolute horror!

From Nascar own documents on the programs: "Diversity Driver Development Program's "Driver Eligibility" page limited admission to "female[s] or member[s] of one or more of the following ethnic minority classifications: American Indian, Alaskan Native or of native/indigenous descent, Asian or Pacific Islander; Black or African-American; Latino or Hispanic," the petition says. The program for pit crews and the internship program had similar language"

In other words, it specifically discriminated against white males, which is illegal under the Civil Rights Act.

Look at it this way:

You're at pie shop. And, if you're anything like me, you like citrus pies. This pie shop has a pretty cool thing where you can get one pie with two flavors! Any one flavor can take up to 99% of the pie, leaving at least 1% for the other.

You follow?

So, again like me, you ask for 75% key lime pie, because that stuff is amazing, and 25% lemon meringue.

You're looking forward to enjoying your pie as you apy when a nosy customer steps up and says, "Hey! You can't do that to that lemon meringue pie!"

Obviously, you're like, "...what the fuck are you talking about?"

Angrily, with great gusto, he says, "That's a lemon pie! And you've relegated it to just 25% instead of 100%! Look! Even your receipt says 'lemon meringue pie'! You need to remove that other shit now."

.....aaaand scene!

You are the angry irrational customer. Because does the Nascar Diversity Driver Development plan exclude white applicants in other areas of NASCAR? Like...if they hire some DEI applicants, does NASCAR suddenly become a critical race theory pedagogic liberal institution? You're assuming yes, yes it does.

But just because a pie has 25% lemon meringue doesn't make it a lemon pie!
