This is awesome! This is a lot closer to how I imagined my "thread entanglement" suggestion to work! Glad to see this is getting added.

This is the one that I’m looking forward to. It will improve my QoL even when browsing content that’s mostly federated from other instances. I haven’t kept up with the Lemmy side’s development, but if they’re not doing this too, it will be a significant UI differentiator.

Nice! I like that it doesn't try to merge everything like some have been suggesting for this feature and instead just groups all of the same threads so you can see them all at once easily and choose which of the threads you want to go into.

I assume this is only for threads that are officially crossposted and /KBin isn't doing something behind the scenes to keep track of threads that have the same link?

I love the idea that a single link or post can have multiple threads from different federated instances. But maybe I'm misunderstanding how cross-posting relates to federation.

Didn’t kbin pretty much fizzle out after that guy was like “it’s be fixed in a major update by September for sure, if not you can consider this project abandoned” then never posted an update or anything at all in September?

Looking at the front page it’s like 4 people and 6 total comments across 10 posts.

This explains the reason for the delay.
