The new King Gizz album might be shaping up to be one of their best, based on the singles released. (If you like their heavier side, at least)
It’s out now but I haven’t heard it yet, the new Jason Isbell album.

I love Rats Nest so I'm pumped for PDA. Only listened to Gila Monster/Converge so far
Dragon is very good.
New Queens of the Stone Age out soon. I haven’t loved the singles but I will absolutely check it out.
Same, hoping it turns out good.
Based on the singles I heard I’m hyped for the King Gizz album. It sounds like it’s going to be a more mature rats nest.
Dragon goes insanely hard I really can't wait. I also hope they do another KEXP session maybe.
God I hope so. Live on KEXP is ALWAYS good
It's probably a bad sign for me that I can't really think of any albums that I'm looking forward to. Most of the ones I was hyped for have already dropped. Aside from the new KGATLW, the only thing I'm hyped for is the Stop Making Sense 4k remaster.
Then again, I'm pretty slow on the uptake when it comes to following music news. I very frequently only just learn an album is coming out only days out from release, if not on or after release
There's a really underrated band I love called Savatage who are apparently releasing their first album since 2001
Wow nice! Definitely a blast from the past, i was listening to them and helloween when I started listening to metal.
We have a new Pearl Jam album coming up at some point.
If it were a week ago, I would have said the new Extreme album. Now that it's out, all I can say is if you like real guitar rock, give it a listen. It is SO. GOOD.
The new CMAT album, first couple singles off it are great, seeming like a slightly different sound for this one so interested to see how the rest are!
I've recently become obsessed with the Italian power metal band Ancient Bards. They have four albums out and a new one in the works. There hasn't been any real updates in awhile, but hopefully it's still planned to release this year.
Definitely looking forward to KGATLW. There's also The Beggar by Swans coming out on soon on June 23, and I'm looking forward to The Harmony Codex by Steven Wilson on September 29. I do go in fairly blind to these albums though, so I'm hyped purely by these artists' previous works.
The new Cure album (if it ever comes out, they've been teasing it for a couple of years now).
Blur: The Ballad of Darren
Yeah new Blur is exciting! The Narcissist is great
"1972" by Green Day (or whatever they're going to call it); set to come out in 2024.
John Mellencamp’s forthcoming new album Orpheus Descending.
I'm very excited for Dead Club City by Nothing But Thieves - I'm a sucker for a concept album and I've really enjoyed their backlist.
I'm looking forward to new Daath material. They brought on some exceptional new members and what stuff they have released just sounds great to me.
Well, the brothers Gallagher said that an Oasis reunion would be in the works so I don't know if that meant a new album but that'd be great.
I'm looking forward to Blakbriar's A Dark Euphony album coming out this fall. I really love their sound and Zora's voice.
Bring Me The Horizon's Nex Gen
Looking forward to hearing the new Strung Out album with their new drummer Daniel Blume. They were in the studio in January. Expecting a fall '23 release.
Personally really looking forward to Nothing But Thieves new album that will be out July!
Off the top of my head, just Shining.
personally, I'm looking forward to the new album from George Clanton, I only recently found out about him and I've definitely liked what I've heard so far of his new album; I'm also looking forward to Act 3 from The Protomen, whenever that ends up happening (it's been over a decade since Act 2 came out IIRC, which is significantly longer than I've known about them, but I've gotten to be quite the fan of them over the years)
Doom Singer by Chris Farren, first two singles are awesome
"6661" by Kuollut & SIVERNOT out June 23. It's promoted as Futuristic Witch House with Folk vocals. Kuollut is one of my favourite producers.
That sounds like a wild combination of genres! Do you have any idea what their work process is like?
