Hi all, I am looking for a starter tablet to show tabs, and in the future potentially musical notation.

As a starter into i am looking for ideas on what sort of tablet. Is 10" big enough? and what are some good apps for it?

My preference is Android, but if all else fails, an iPad could work.

cheers

I've had really good luck with my iPad 7th gen and https://songbook-pro.com/. At this point i have about 2000 songs in there and it works perfectly. And I gig with it 2-3 times per week. They do have an Android version but I've never used it. I'm sure it works the same.

cool, that app looks great, and really cheap! like $7 for life!

what size pad are you using? i am looking at a 10.1", and there seems to be 2 sizes of iPads.

TIA!

Ya it's hard to complain about it. I have just the plain iPad, and I just looked more closely and it's the 9th gen 10.2". Happy to help!

Guitar Pro has a native App for Android and iOS. GoPlayAlong.com lets you sync mp3s to those tabs too.
