I’m going to have to go with Team Mouse on this one. If your only reaction is to stomp a mouse running past your foot, that’s a bit of a red flag there. The mouse is not presenting a clear and present danger, it is not threatening harm to itself or others, and is actively engaged in de-escalating the situation triggered, through no fault of its own, by its mere presence.

Anon could make Police Captain some day.

I lived in a cinder block foundation house for a couple years. I lost a very nice gaming rig before I realized what was going on.

I was a live trap only type before that house. The house was known as mouschwitz when I moved out.

I guess cinder blocks make good mouse habitat?

Gaps in the foundation. Makes it insanely hard to prevent ingress.

My reaction would be to roll my eyes. It's a mouse, it's outside, they're not associated with dirty conditions like rats are, just leave the poor thing alone.

If it's inside the building by all means get a trap but when it's outside in its actual environment you're just randomly killing animals in their habitat for no reason.

Also, his immediate go to action is violence? Not surprised the co-workers are wary about him. Thats a red flag if ever I heard one.

Eh, if it was a spider his reaction would seem normal.

No it's not. Don't stand on things just because it's convenient or easy, seriously what's wrong with people.

It's like you think humans entire responsibility in existence is to kill every other form of life if we notice it. That's not the reason to exist. What the actual hell is wrong with you?

If I ended up squishing a mouse with work shoes, I would not throw them away. A good wash what I'd give them since I like to wear my shoes out until they are falling apart. Any less and it feels like I'm not getting my money out of them.

Gotta respect half these enlightened Lemmings who live at peace in their rodent and bug infested basements.
