Two convoys of humanitarian aid recently entered Gaza through the Rafah border crossing during Israeli bombing.

Two shipments of aid arrived in Gaza over the weekend – the first since Israel started bombing the Palestinian enclave in the wake of a deadly Hamas attack on October 7.

The besieged enclave, home to 2.3 million people, has been in dire need of humanitarian aid after Israel cut off food, fuel and electricity supplies before launching a bombing campaign.

More than 4,600 Palestinians, more than a third of them children, have been killed in the relentless bombardments. Israel says it’s targeting Hamas fighters who killed more than 1,400 people in the October 7 attack in southern Israel.

Here’s what we know about the humanitarian aid being sent to Gaza:

Which countries have sent aid to Gaza?

  • At least eight planes carrying aid from Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Jordan and Tunisia have landed at El Arish International Airport in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula.
  • India has sent medical and disaster relief to El Arish on Sunday.
  • Rwanda has sent 16 tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza.
  • The European Union is launching an air bridge and has tripled its assistance to the territory.
  • However, some EU countries – including Germany, Denmark and Sweden – have temporarily suspended their aid to Gaza as a response to the Hamas attacks.

Biden is sending bombs to Israel, does that count… shameful on us.

Of course Al Jazeera leaves out that Biden is a major reason aid is flowing through the Rafah crossing, and he sent $100 million in aide to Palestinians.

Yes, a 14.6 billion dollar arms pledge for Israel and a 100M pledge for aid for Gaza. The first trucks went on Saturday. 500 trucks a day normally pass and the US vetoed the ceasefire resolution to allow aid in so the trucks are barely moving, maybe 20 per day. What will the aid be worth when people starve. Woman having babies without hospitals, cancer centers out of drugs, people being operated on without anesthesia. Biden’s language has been inflammatory and encouraging this tragedy to expand. Compared to Obama, Clinton, or Carter, I can’t even recognize Biden as a Dem.
