While it looks nice - I am a bit disappointed in the 10 years of support the current version is getting. I still cant fly on a 1+ hour flight without ATC messing up.

Yeah, it has me (and many in the community (Discord)) torn about this course of action. It's not turning out to be a great week with all the corporate greed

I really hope the airline side of it gets more detail. I love the “what do people actually do in planes” missions … just seems a missed opportunity if they don’t build airlines and let you sign up to fly routes.

It´s fascinating how some people are so excited about this while others hate it. Shows how important proper communication is.

It's true right? Then again, there was always a new iteration every 2-3 years until FSX. If there's huge back end improvements that can't be easily implemented with a large update, then it's justified.

Looking forward to it, though like many saddened its not a free upgrade.

They did a recent developer Q&A where they said a huge amount of work on the end user experience was being done. No more filling your SSD with 200GB of world updates, as those would be streamed in when you got closer. Apparently the new engine also runs a bit better than the current one?
