A community can defderate itself? I thought only instances has the ability to federate or defederate.

Supposedly instances can put it so there are no downvotes, only upvotes so i wonder how that works with this.
Also while i think votes should by default cover all of lemmy it would be cool to see instance and community subscriber votes seperately.
I have the same question
It flops back and forth. It tries its best to keep up, but at any given time it's reflecting ... some number of Instances. I imagine this will be improved with further development.
