That’s a male flower. On female flowers you will see a small zucchini attached to the flower.

Yes but it’s common for the first few to be male, then you will get a mix of male and female. Plant looks great I think you’re going to get great zucchinis. Just keep them away from me I don’t like zucchini 😆

I agree that a few males bloom first. Not the I don’t like them part 🙂

Sometime they can bloom with a little offset on the same plant.

That's why it's good to have a few plants to create interactions between them.

Female flowers can also be fertilised by hand.

They'll self fertilize in time

You can self fertilize your plant. Take a small brush or qtip and take some pollen from an open male flower and brush the inside of the female flower.
