I think a similar thing happened between fanaticus.social and lemmy.world but I’m not sure what they did to fix it.

Interesting. Lemm.ee is also in 18.4, maybe that plays a role?
it's my first guess, however it looks like the posts are not entirely synced even with the lemmy.world instance (which is 18.5). Something's wrong
