I'm gonna still wait to throw the party until Niantic confirms it publicly themselves. Which brings me to the question: why haven't they? This is great PR for a company that almost everybody has a very negative view on. They could really use any positive reactions from their player base. So why not announce it and gain some positivity? Then again, this is Niantic. Squandering this opportunity is so on point for them
