I hope he stays long term and we win.

This is likely just leverage for a new deal.

Bayern Munich’s €70m transfer offer for Tottenham’s Harry Kane to be rejected

[–] [email protected] 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Why even submit an offer if you're going to lowball by that much? Wasnt Levy saying $120m or GTFO?

[–] [email protected] 8 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Well it could be that levy is posturing to the world by saying $120m or GTFO. A 70m offer is a good way to test out the waters and see the resolve of spurs

Oh yeah for sure, I haven't followed the Kane stuff super closely but I was pretty sure they had offers of more than 70 that they've turned down. I guess the expiring contract is slowly taking away leverage from Spurs though

It'd be weird to see Kane in a Bayern t-shirt. I want this move to happen though

They can get the deal done with 85 million and add ons to a total of 100 million. Bayern success is quite likely so the add ons will be close to a guarantee

That Kane x Müller partnership will hit like crack

Makes sense for Bayern, and gives Kane his best chance at some silverware. Feel like Levy will want a fair bit more though.

Kicker.de says the offer was rejected immediately (in German): https://www.kicker.de/jetzt-wird-s-ernst-der-poker-um-harry-kane-957387/artikel

God I hope not. It was so fun seeing Bayern almost fuck up last season
