Yep I totally got confused about what's going on here. I'll edit my comment.

I commented this to someone else but I guess I'll put this here too..

I was a bit tired when I commented and thought "well maybe that's how they integrate videos" but I went to the YouTube link on the top and saw none of the spam and started complaining...

I'm all up in arms trying to do my part in keeping Lemmy a good place, watching for bots and whatnot...

context? Who is begging you for money?

[–] lrabbt 2 points 1 year ago (1 children)

It's just a misunderstanding, because Lemmy puts the video description on the post and there are requests for money there on this video you posted

That could make sense. However Reddit not deleting his data is a violation of the CCPA if in fact the user is a resident of California. He doesn't have to delete his own data reddit has to delete his data if he requests it.

Yeah, he did that... IN 2016. Fucking bots.

Want it already explained by a former reddit dev this is just due to the massively complicated caching system reddit has?

[–] [email protected] 3 points 1 year ago

This may be true but that doesn't change the fact that they are required to delete someones data on request if they are a resident in California.
