So if Gerrard wasn't the brains behind the operation, and Beale wasn't either, who is responsible for Rangers success when Stevie G was in charge, the tea lady?

Oh Michael, they have taken you away

Right now? Pretty smug

God I can't imagine how QPR fans feel that he totally destroyed them and set them back years by leaving for Rangers 4 months into a "big project" that he bought a load of players for, only to get sacked after less than a year. All for naught.

Disappointing that they might appoint someone competent now, but still think the league is basically over already.

Kept on reading people who didn't watch villa regularly saying how "villa got way worse after beale left and it was just gerrard" but we were dreadful in beales last 6 months. Then when Gerrard was sacked, he felt the need to say he didn't want the job (he wasn't offered it, or even contacted about it) in a really rude manner.

Since he has been in at rangers he's post match interviews have been so unbelievably cocky, arrogant and slimy. I always felt GVB held himself really well and came across as a top bloke. Him and ange seemed to respect each other and get on well. Beale just came across so poorly

Think you're overselling it slightly, he did bring some shite in for sure but the season that really broke our FFP was Warburton's last

That said Ainsworth not having ANYTHING to spend this season is probably partly on Beale and could still relegate us. But we mostly just hate him because he's a two-faced rat bastard

Wonder if he regrets not taking the Wolves job.

frustrated tbh mate. he was the first appointment we had in years where i actually thought "we might make something of this." he gave me more confidence than even warnock and warburton did after the same period of time.

we were very well suited to eachother, a club where he could cut his cloth and a club that would have been patient and supportive of him. its a large part of the reason we're in the mess we're in now.

he was held in such high esteem after turning down the wolves job but to leave only 6 weeks later after preaching about loyalty and integrity left a real sour taste in the supporters mouths.

i'm over the moon that he's been sacked and that his stock both as a manager and as a person has taken a hit.

that being said though i do still rate him as a manager and i'd be surprised if he didn't bounce back after this.

Even though our club is in the shit right now. This really made my day.

What an experience it's been to watch this whole grift unfold from start to finish.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Rangers fans were telling me he was better than Ange 😭😭

Least surprising news of the weekend

It's going to take years to undo the absolute fucking mess he's caused over the summer.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

The quickest summary possible, 4W in 7 is simply not acceptable for either Old Firm team. Rangers hadn’t done this poorly in our entire history until last year.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Strange how he didn't work out. He was according to some the one actually managing Rangers when Gerrard was there.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

I don't keep up to date with the SPL, but 4W and 3L doesn't seem like that bad a record? I mean Ten Hag would have been gone weeks ago if that was bad. It's not great, but it's not bad either. What's the story that led to this?

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Damn, this is terrible news. For St Mirren, they might have finished second.

[–] [email protected] 1 points 1 year ago

Well that was inevitable. How many Rangers rebuilds are we on now?
