Did not know he was coaching, or even out of playing.....

Major League Soccer club Colorado Rapids are considering appointing Jack Wilshere as their new head coach. The former England international, 31, has been coach of Arsenal’s Under-18 team since July 2022 and has made a strong impression, leading them to the 2022–23 FA Youth Cup final in his first season in charge.
The Rapids – owned by the same Kroenke Sports & Entertainment group that own Arsenal – parted ways with former head coach Robin Fraser in September. As revealed in The Athletic’s Ask Ornstein Q&A, the U.S. franchise made a formal approach to Arsenal to speak with Wilshere, who is thought to have impressed in his interview.
The fact that the only candidates publicly reported so far are the interim and a guy with 1 year of youth coaching experience should indicate the budget available
It should be noted, the Kronke's own Both Arsenal and Colorado Rapids
Yes and the St. Louis Rams!
/s OBVIOUSLY
He has been around for nearly 15 years.
16 he started.
Narrator: "Jack did not get the support he needs"
On the other hand, the Kroenkes seem not to care about Colorado at all, to the point where its probably the worst coaching job in MLS.
Almost certainly only cos the Kroenkes own both clubs though
Why? Will Still is 30 and doing well with Reims in ligue 1. But the difference is Will started his football coaching training age 24 , video analyst, assistant manager etc so he had somewhat managing experience.

Only scored the greatest goal of all time
Not really when you see the dross they hire based on name alone
That’s crazy to think about. 21 year old manager sounds like it should only be possible in FM
Is Jack still smoking regularly? Living/coaching at 1600m might be his best chance at kicking the habit.
He has the ligaments and bone density of a 68 year old man, perhaps that's what confused you.
I think the difference is that Josh actually cares about sports and winning. It seems like KSE is his day job, not his hobby.
Just in case you needed more proof that Colorado is a completely unserious team
He probably knows Josh better than the entire Rapids FO combined.
It’s not like the Rapids are bottom feeders.
Jack Wilshere: younger than Kieran Trippier.
For some context, DeMeco Ryans played his final season in 2015 and became a head coach this year. Went from quality control analyst in 17, to position coach from 18-20, to DC from 21-22.
fuck I´m getting old. in the moments where he was fit, what he was doing in that arsenal squad was amazing. the mix of physicality and skill was incredible to watch.
Glad to see that he keeps pursuing the coach path and stays involved with the sport.
Of course they are. Dumpster fire of a club.
I know we shit on the MLS, but to be a manager in a league of that size at age 31 is pretty crazy
Will be good to see the first genuinely wheelchair bound manager in the MLS. He’ll be the FDR of management there.
It's not like Colorado has much to lose if they miss on this hire. The bigger risk is probably for Wilshere, if the Rapids don't invest in the team or give him any support.

I don’t know how Football Manager determine staff attributes, Jack Wilshere is 4/5 star coach on FM23.
The risk for Wilshere is that the Kroenke's treat the Rapids like the unwanted stepchild in their empire of sports teams and clubs.
Will Wilshere get the support that he needs?
He could be the English Nagelsmann if he succeeds. Plus, it’s the MLS, not like he has the risk of getting relegated. Perfect league to start for a manager
