Guidelines

  1. Titles should be in the format "Title" by Artist
    • If adding the artists social media handle after their name, use [square brackets]
    • If adding a year after the title, use (parenthetical brackets)
    • If posting your own art, preface the title with [OC]
  2. Please include the original source in the post body
  3. This community is meant for showcasing artists' work - this excludes
    • AI generated artwork
    • Screenshots from films or games
  4. Submitting the link from the original source instead of downloading and rehosting is recommended
    • This will ease server stress on smaller lemmy instances

    • Therefore, if possible, please strip all parameters after .png, .jpg, etc.
  5. Mark posts as NSFW when necessary (nudity/violence)

A Warp Gate would be a structure that would house the entrance to an artificial traversable wormhole, which is a distortion of space-time that provides instantaneous travel from one point to another in space, in time, or even between different dimensions. The gate would consist of two parts - one at the point of origin, and one at the destination.
Different sizes of gates could be constructed to allow for human travel through person-sized gates on a planet, or even objects the size of spacecraft through orbiting gates. Popular literature has even spoken of the possibility of giant gates large enough to transport a planet from one location to another.
