The practical effects in this film are phenomenal. Anyone know any other movies that are in the same vein?

I'm with you, I love practical effects. The Thing (1982) is a classic, Color out of Space has it's moments, and one that kind of surprised me, the new Hellraiser (2022) has a final sequence that is pretty good.
For the more surreal type of horror like The Void, Daniel isn't Real (2019) is pretty decent.
Oh haven't heard of Daniel isn't real, will check it out. I have seen the other film mentions, The Thing is phenomenal.
Good movie. Well worth the watch.
