😂
I think it's remarkable how much she has to upend everything just so a little commoner girl can read some books.
Also I enjoy how every time she becomes competent in one space, she gets isekai'ed into another space.
She would really be fine with spending the rest of her life in Ferdinand's estate reading his books, if only they'd let her.
I know it's a meme, but did nobles even ever know that Myne's aspirations are mostly limited to books and book related activities? I wonder if that's expanded in novels 🤔
If you haven't read the novels, I highly recommend them. The various noble reactions to Myne are heavily explored and deeply entertaining.
Even in the section covered by the anime, for example where Ferdinand explores her memories, the novel goes much deeper. Ferdinand is extremely clear after that that indeed she only cares about books. 😅
Thanks for the recommendation. The novels are somewhere on my plan to read list, I just haven't had a chance to get to them yet. 🙃 Discovering this community might be a good reason to finally give them a read.
Yes, it's pretty explicit. They even say that Myne and books are an explosive combination, and "never get in the way between her and her books". An important noble even calls her "a book obsessed gremlin" and gets reprimanded for doing so.
Read the novels, you'll love them.
Spoilers for P5V5P7 bellow
spoiler
In the epilogue lady Magdelena thought the only reason Roz asked for a library was to show resentment to siggy (which while partially true, isn't the complete picture).
Might wanna spoiler tag that (still doesn't work on the android app but better than nothing)
