I have been to two different live shows. Both were more fun than the cost of the ticket. I missed them recreantly when they played near me. I wont miss them again. The amount of energy , work and preparation were evident.

I finally got to catch a show earlier in the year. Was a bit of a trek, but the venue was very fun and did not feel like a traditional arena type event (was at the MA Museum of Contemporary art, very neat).

Lineup was so fun (Flood plus some deeper cuts), though I do wonder if they really deep down believe that their fans only like Flood? They seem to joke about it a lot. Their more recent work is really fun to me, Nanobots is such a killer album, so many bangers on that one.

Especially loved hanging out after and checking out other items at the venue and the merch area. From my last concert I believe they actually get the profits from their merch, so I was happy to contribute.

I think they are just aware that Flood was their “big hit” album. Plus the Flood tour was 2.5 years postponed, so the celebration of its 30th anniversary probably seemed a little tongue in cheek since it had passed by a while ago at that point.

I’ve been to 5 live shows, and it’s always an amazing time. They play so much of their discography you absolutely get your money’s worth. The shows are even better when they bring along a horn section, it really elevates the overall performance.

It’s also fun to watch them banter between songs. It seems like they really have a good time being on stage together. I’m hoping they announce your dates near where I live somewhere in the fall or in 2024.

Always a fun and lively crow. TMBG always attracts the best nerds of all ages and walks of life. Interesting to see kids, adults and older people all enjoying the same show.
