I'm fitting a Marpet 4MB upgrade to my STFM today. What a hassle! PLCC socket hot glued on top of the surface mount MMU, interposer board inside the metal can and further mods needed to disable the onboard RAM.

Beautiful. Well done!๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

25 years ago I fell in love with the M68k trainer board we used at the digital design classes. My teacher saw my enthusiasm for the elegance and simplicity of the architecture, and recommended me to find an ST to work with it, but all the available ones in my area were horribly out of reach for my meager economy at the time.

And... emulators are merely a placebo for the real drug.

I hope you are enjoying your beauty and may be able do for many more years. I am truly jealous and happy!!!

Impressive! I would've chosen another method as soon as I saw the surface mount.
