[iOS] AFK progression seems too fast (self.kittensgame)

I’m playing the iOS version of the game, and when I reopen the app, sometimes (seemingly at random) I’ll have made significantly more ressources than I’d expect from ETAs. Is this intended? Am I getting. Resources from a source I’m not aware of?

I tried some things out, and it looks like Catpower specifically generates much faster when the app is closed. Maybe this is intended behavior?
