This looks more like a very polished indie game then a new game in the prince of persia series. I don't know how I feel about popular 3d franchises going back to their roots instead of making new 3d experiences. They did it with rayman too, but I didn't grow up with 2d rayman/prince of persia so it's not that interesting to me.

The game does look pretty good but I agree with the sentiment, nothing about this looks like Prince of Persia. It feels like they were working on a 2D metroidvania and decided to add the prince of persia name to it. I guess it does take place in a desert setting, but that's about it.
Having played the old Price of Persia, this just looks like a random platformer and not really a prince of Persia game. Kinda disappointed. Will check it out when it goes on sale
Same thoughts I had. Looks pretty good though regardless. I just wish we could get a real PoP game with next gen tech.
I have never played a Prince of Persia game, but this looks like a lot of fun. I'm a sucker for sidescrollers, as I grew up in the SNES era. This is probably on my short list of games to get, though likely on Steam as a Steam Deck game.
