Some communities will have a deluge of posts, which tend to astroturf the main feed. I loved the feature in Apollo that let us mark a sub as a favorite to make it easy to get to, without subscribing to it and having it hit the main feed.

Yeah yeah we know it's for porn. But I would also like this feature

Not really. For instance, on Apollo, I used it for /r/politics. Huge, extremely active sub that would drown everything else out in the main feed.

So it would be more like a bookmark for collecting communities

It was just to put them at the top of your list of subreddits, being able to favourite subs without subscribing to them was a bonus.

Not the right usage of the term, astroturf.

Ok, but the context of my request is understood, right?

Oh, for sure. I just wanted to mention that. I meant no offense.

No worries. It’s refreshing to have people be polite online…

Thank you for the correction.

Thanks for the wholesome interaction. I love this place so far. :) SO MUCH less toxic than Reddit was. 😁

I would love this too, to occasionally see whats going on but not having all of their posts in my feed. Saved data would have to stay with the app since Lemmy dont have that feature
