Me, Sync for Lemmy. Sync was reddit for me. Now ita Lemmy for me.

Not all communities I want to follow made the transition. I'm still on Reddit for HFY, and some smaller game communities.

But Lemmy has replaced a sizable chunk of my Reddit usage, especially around more technical topics.

Apollo got shut down so I do not intend to return.

I did. 💀

Count me in. Removed my account after I had heard that admins are removing mods from the closed/nsfw subreddits. The content on Lemmy is not that diverse yet, I miss regional or nieche technical communities sometimes. But I hope things will get better eventually.

I sort of did. I still have an account, but I only use it in the browser and very rarely, from like hourly use to maybe once a week when I can remember.

I've looked at the site but I don't contribute anymore. I've made a few comments telling people to look at another site for answers to their technical questions. Dropping seeds that will branch away from reddit.

The popular sort for Canada increasingly resembles voat. When it was becoming overrun by the far right dog whistles. The signature right wing botted subreddits seem to be a mainstay on the top sorts. That says a lot about how it's going.

I deleted my Reddit account (24k karma, I think, about 10 years old?) and went with Lemmy. It's fine, though I miss a couple gaming subs.

I did that too and don't regret it ;)

I did. Add 1 to your count.

Well I kept using it until Infinity died, which was only at the start of this month!

If I do decide to go back, it will be by compiling the infinity APK with my own API key, but I'm not feeling much of an urge to bother at the moment.

Same here, I'm using connect for Lemmy, it has good UI and I only ever scrolled the all or popular page on Infinity

I changed my reddit link to lemmy but kept the snoo symbol.

I don't really visit too much, I will sweep by a few times a week or so. Reddit I only go to when Google takes me there, which is often enough thst I had to install the official turd of an app.

But I do t have a user over there anymore, so I am not logged in.

Me and you can check my reddit account under the same name.

I'm Spartacus!

[–] peeweejd 2 points 1 year ago

I left during the blackouts.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

I've been almost exclusively on Lemmy, but even after several months still miss user content on some of the more niche communities like my local sports team subreddit. I'll still hold out for a bit longer, if only to see what else is out there, but the itch is real.

Some number, likely greater than 0.

I did. Haven't visited reddit since Sync stopped working. Should probably drop by and delete my account.

[–] [email protected] 2 points 1 year ago

Infinity for Reddit no longer refreshes content so I guess that's it for me. I'm not using the first party app. I hope one day these sites and services see that this type of shit is like paywalling a news site. It just makes a large percentage of the userbase leave and degrades the ultimate relevance of the site.

When the blackout started I deleted sync for reddit and a month ago I heard of lemmy, and now I'm back on sync, but for lemmy this time
