[Legends Arceus] How long did it take you to clear the "Big Buizel" quest? (lemmy.world)

This game hass been trolling me big time.

I am aware (now...) that I could have given him one of the Alphas instead of a "regular" big Buizel, but it irked me that I just could not find ANY regular Buizels over 2'7'' in over 4 weeks. After a hundred Buizels in a row, all of which have been too small, it honestly felt like a glitch / bug so I checked online and saw people complaining about how they had to "catch over 40 of them" ...

I kept on catching more, because at this point I had already wasted enough time that it didn't matter whether I wasted even more. I wanted to know how long it would take.

The answer is seven and a half weeks, 182 Buizels, and approximately fourthousandandeight choice words directed towards two-tailed water weasels.

So ... how long did it take y'all on average?

Hold up. I could've just given him the alpha? I'm so dumb. Gyaaaarrrgh.

My pain wasn't as severe as 182 though, that's some serious Buizelling.

At least that's what I've been told - after(!) finding that regular big Buizel and completing the quest. ^^°

I just kept exploring keeping in the back of my mind that I'd need an alpha. Once I found one, I caught it and finished the quest.

There's a "regular" size that satisfies? I just got an alpha (after MONTHS of searching)

Yup, but it has to be 2'8'' no less. I was deliberately targeting the big ones (thank Arceus that you can SEE that in the overworld!) and like 80% of the ones I caught were 2'7'' and the rest 2'6'' (except for the shiny, which is tiny)

I had no end of 2'7" ones. To the point I thought that was the biggest regular. My wife found an alpha before I did and I used that one cause I was losing my mind trying to find something that would work

It took me 17 and I thought that was a lot lol. Love that game though
