Somehow I am not surprised. Animators always seem to get fucked over, even in these huge studios. Actually, they probably get fucked over the most in the big studios with the most money

Yeah I'd assumed something like this was the case until I learned that Part 2 wasn't done yet, I thought they'd crammed to finish both movies back to back, Peter Jackson's LOTR style

That's a major bummer because one of the things that made the first film great was that they developed a lot of the technology they used to ease the burden on animators. Sounds like they immediately turned around for the second film and said, “Now that you have all this technology making your job easier, you should go back to your old working conditions and put out even HIGHER QUALITY WORK!”

I was coming here to post that there's no way 3 will be ready by 2024 I wonder if that source is the same. Maybe disgruntled or maybe that's his point.
